Madhuri Dixit is disturbed!

Madhuri Dixit ruled Bollywood in the 80’s and 90’s but is finding it tough to prove her identity on a social networking site. The actress, who joined a social networking site with the intention to interact with her fans, never knew that it will be so difficult for her to prove her real self.


Apparently, there are already several fake accounts on Madhuri’s names thus it’s equally difficult for her fans to find out which is the real Madhuri Dixit. However, Madhuri who joined a social networking site on May 30 has applied for verification.


She got in touch with the head office to put things in the fast gear, “I am waiting for verification of Twitter because I don't want my fans to be confused.” The actress has submitted required documents to verify her account.


Madhuri was very excited about joining the web world but she feels extremely disappointed for not being verified as yet. “Verification is taking long because I'm in USA & the confirmation from Twitter India is taking long. Honestly. I'll be happier when Twitter confirms it,” said Madhuri, who is currently in Denver with her family.

Happy Birthday Madhuri Dixit!

Her enigmatic smile makes men go weak in their knees. Her moves make girls to look upon her. Her performance is something that Bollywood screens miss today… Madhuri Dixit is one among those exceptional actresses who couldn’t be replaced by anyone. For such is her magic - unique and distinct.
Think Madhuri and there are innumerable films and songs which would lit up in one’s mind. One can visualise her first hit song “Ek Do Teen” where she is all glitter and shine in her pink top and colourful skirt. Or her "Humko Aaj Kal Hai" song of 'Sailaab' which gives that occasional thumping beats, making you to get on the floor gradually. Who can forget her hot designer blouse and toomke of “Didi Tera Devar Deewana” from the blockbuster film ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’? Her song “Mera Piya Ghar Aaya” (Yaarana) became a hit especially among girls who wanted to show-off their dancing skills and at dance competitions.
Leave alone her dancing style; Madhuri has given some of the memorable films, showcasing her impressive acting talent and winning Filmfare awards all the way. ‘Tezaab’, ‘100 Days’, ‘Sajan’, ‘Dil’, ‘Anjaam’, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’, ‘Pukar’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Lajja’ – Mrs. Nene has filled the pages of Hindi cinema with some remarkable performances; which has won her way in bagging a Padma Shri.
Comedy, serious, romance, thriller – she has been successful in presenting the Navrasas efficiently, by doing all types of films. Not decided on playing Indira: Madhuri Dixit

While the world is abuzz with reports of Madhuri Dixit having been signed on to play Indira Gandhi in Krishna Shah's film on the political icon, the Dhak Dhak woman said she hasn't made up her mind yet.

"Yes, Shah did meet me [at Dixit's residence in Denver, USA], with the script. I read it and I am really impressed with the research he has done. I consider Indira Gandhi my idol, so it would be a privilege to play her.

"But I haven't agreed yet as I need to sort out a lot of other issues. My secretary, Rikku Rakeshnath, is figuring that out." Shah is so keen on casting Dixit that he took a computer imaging of the actress as Indira Gandhi with him when he went to meet her.

Reports of Shah approaching Hollywood stars like Tom Hanks and Tommy Lee Jones for the film are also doing the rounds. The director reportedly plans to approach actor Abhay Deol to play Rajiv Gandhi. Shah himself was unavailable for comment.

Madhuri Dixit looks set to play Indira Gandhi

Actor Madhuri Dixit is likely to essay the role of former prime minister Indira Gandhi in a two-part Hollywood film. It is learnt that Dixit has accepted the part, while filmmaker Krishna Shah is pursuing other big names from Hollywood and Bollywood for the remaining roles.

Actor Tom Hanks has been approached to play the role of US president Lyndon Baines Johnson while Tommy Lee Jones has been offered the part of Richard Nixon, the 37th US president with whom Indira had crossed swords.

Bollywood actors Dharmendra, Abhay Deol and Nana Patekar are being roped in to play Motilal Nehru, Rajiv Gandhi and Jay Prakash Narayan respectively. The movie has been titled Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story.

Known primarily for writing and directing the Dharmendra and Zeenat Aman starrer Shalimar, Shah has interviewed Indira's contemporary politicians, prominent military personnel and even journalists to get in-depth knowledge about her.

"A whole new generation has grown and matured since her assassination and it is the role of art to create the connect between people and their history and legacy. This film will hopefully create such a connection,'' Shah said in a statement.

The pre-production of the movie is complete and it is set to go on the floors mid next year. Slated to be shot in India, UK, USA and Russia, the movie will narrate instances from Indira's birth to the war against Pakistan in 1971 in the first part. The next part will showcase her political career and highlight her relationship with her maverick son Sanjay Gandhi as well as her assassination.

Madhuri refuses offer to judge reality show

Rani comes in as replacement



Madhuri Dixit has backed out of being a judge on the reality show “Dance Premiere League”.

The channel guys were successful in roping in dance diva Madhuri to be a judge on the show. However, they were not successful in getting a nanny on the show to take care of her two sons, 24/7. Hence Madhuri decided to let the offer go.

Having hosted a wedding show several years ago, this would have been a comeback for Madhuri on television. But given her priorities, she had first laid down the condition that the channel should arrange for a nanny who would stay on the sets with her children. When this condition was not fulfilled Mads left the show.

Now Rani Mukerji has been called to take her place. After the failure of “Dil Bole Hadippa”, Rani does not have many projects. She wanted to try something new and this gives her a real good opportunity to make her presence felt. This also marks debut on television.

It was a battle between two very popular actresses, Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in which the former has emerged a winner. Madhuri has joined several Bollywood stars to judge the reality show, Dance Premier League. Our source associated with the show said, “Madhuri and Aishwarya were both being considered to be the judge for one of the teams. Aishwarya lost out to Madhuri as she quoted an exorbitant amount of money. The makers of the show couldn’t afford her and the scales tipped in Madhuri’s favour as she had demanded an affordable price.”

Madhuri’s manager Riku Rakesh Nath said he could not reveal any details at this stage and said, “The discussion is still on.”

However, Danish Khan, VP Marketing of the channel admitted, “Yes, Madhuri has been chosen to represent one of the teams.” He refused to comment on the reason why Aishwarya lost out to Madhuri and said, “I don’t want to talk abut the money involved but Madhuri is definitely on board for Dance Premier League.”
